Visual Connections Obtains Interim Top Secret Facility Clearance
Visual Connections, LLC has obtained an Interim Top Secret Facility Clearance. A facility clearance (FCL), which is required in order to execute classified work for the US Department of Defense (DoD), is an
administrative determination that a facility is eligible for access to classified information or award of a classified contract. Classification levels include Confidential, Secret, and Top Secret. The level of clearance a company is granted is determined by the level indicated in the contract or subcontract they can be awarded.
In order to be granted a Top Secret Facility Clearance, a firm must: have access to classified information as a part of a work contract, must be located in the United States or a United States territory; must pass a due diligence investigation that shows the company and all officers have participated in no unlawful activity and are not barred from working with the Government; and the company must not be under foreign ownership, control, or influence.
Visual Connections was granted an Interim Top Secret Security Clearance on December 24, 2014. We expect the review to be finalized by second quarter 2015.
